Requesting Services

1. In order to use the Center's services, you must first complete our "Services Request Form" (below) and send it to us along with a brief description of your research project. If you choose not to fill out the online form, you may submit your request by mail or fax. To download the form, simply click the "pdf" icon (below), save, and print.

2. Once your form has been processed, your cell line can be sent to the Center for mycoplasma and sterility testing. While these tests may take four to six weeks to complete, they are critical for ensuring the safety of your cell line, as well as those received from other investigators. During this quarantine period, we will also prepare your cell line for cell banking.

3. Upon release from quarantine, a representative sample, projected schedule and cost estimate are provided for your evaluation. This gives you the opportunity to evaluate the product, using your choice of methods, to ensure its quality and consistency. If the sample, projected schedule and cost estimate are satisfactory, the work is completed and the product is shipped by overnight courier.

4. The Cell Culture Center guarantees satisfaction. You will not be responsible for costs associated with quarantine testing and initial product preparation until you have placed your first order. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with the cells or secreted protein provided by the Center, the product will be replaced.

SECTION I: General Information

In order to manufacture your product efficiently and safely, we require some basic information on the research project, specific cell line characteristics, safety testing and product shipment. This information will be reviewed, in confidence, by the Director or Scientific Advisory Board members. THE CENTER WILL USE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THE CELL LINE, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTAMINATION OR DESTRUCTION THAT OCCURS DURING SHIPMENT OR WHILE IN POSSESSION OF THE CELL LINE. All materials produced at the Center are for RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY and not intended for human use.
